Requirements Operations and Marketing Coordinator, Capitol Applied Learning Labs (CALL) – Georgetown University The Capitol Applied Learning Lab (CALL) is Georgetown’s signature immersive innovation hub downtown. In a semester at the CALL, undergraduates view D.C. through a new lens. Professors use the city as their classroom, they bring students to museums, halls of power, communities and neighborhoods. Here, students gain real world experience that builds the professional capital that will shape their future. Job Overview The Operations and Marketing Coordinator of the Capitol Applied Learning Labs (CALL) plays a leading role in the administrative and operational needs of the CALL. They have primary responsibility for managing the day-to-day and long-term personnel/HR and financial processes, communications and the marketing of the CALL and its offerings; as well as for providing internal support to the CALL team, including the Director. They work collaboratively to complete core administrative functions for the unit, including the hiring and managing of students, hiring for ad hoc appointments of faculty, part- and full-time staff, external consultants and academic unit partnerships; and have primary responsibility for managing the CALL’s office space, including procuring office supplies and submitting maintenance requests. Work Interactions Reporting to the CALL Director, the Operations and Marketing Coordinator works closely with other CALL and GU staff to complete administrative functions related to specific projects and to coordinate meetings, agendas, and related materials. They also maintain relationships with HR, MCFO, and MCOAA to complete HR and financial transactions; and manage and supervise a team of 10+ undergraduate student workers who support various CALL projects. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree – preference for Master’s degree (conferred or in progress) 2 to 3 years of work experience in a professional environment or in a rapidly changing, startup-like environment Literacy with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, and Google Suite applications, like Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with university students, staff, faculty, leadership and external partners Proven organizational and time management skills Ability to take initiative and work under minimal supervision Ability to provide leadership for a small-sized organization Experience in both traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media engagement High level of attention to detail Interest in innovation in higher education landscape Work Mode: Hybrid.
